A Little About Us
You know when some friends have a friend that they want you to meet? Well, that is how we connected initially. While visiting the USA, our friends wanted us to meet their roommate, however through whatever the gods were thinking, they sent him off to New Orleans for work the week before I arrived.
A few days later, we are landing in New Orleans – because, why not – and there we met. It was September 1998. The rest, they say, is history. You can read a little more about our story here.
After over 26 years of traveling together, we’ve got a treasure trove of stories, tips, and adventures to share with you. We’re not just husbands; we’re travel partners in crime.
James loves exploring new cities and will try to find the more off beat pathways to take in search of those more unique and less touristy places. A recent convert to cruises, he enjoys sitting in a floating cafe sipping a latte watching the sea pass by. Of course, spending time with our furry family at home or on the road.
Chris is the king of road trips and finding the most interesting ways to get from one destination to the next. He also takes on the role of planner for many of our trips, as well as finding places that most tourists don’t visit when traveling. Who needs a boring flight when you can take a scenic route?
Our Travel Adventures
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of traveling extensively within the United States and internationally. From the sun-kissed beaches of California to the historic landmarks of Europe, we’ve seen a great deal. When the opportunity allows, we try to take our dogs along side, especially on our road trips. They might not be able to join us on every adventure, but they’re always on our minds.
